WHAT COULD DELAY YOUR DEVELOPMENT CONSTRUCTION? | Earth Environmental

More than 50% of construction projects are delayed by adverse site conditions or unexpected ground conditions. Conducting detailed Site Investigation / Ground Investigations can save you time and money. There are many reasons development can be delayed, but one of the key factors that will affect development is knowing what you are building on. In order to understand the impact of the proposed development, a clear understanding of the site's ground conditions is required.  See More:-  https://www.earthenvironmental.co.uk/conducting-ground-investigation-site-investigations/

EARTH ENVIRONMENTAL & GEOTECHNICAL MINESHAFT AND SINKHOLE HELPLINE | Earth Environmental

Earth Environmental & Geotechnical have a Mineshaft and Sinkhole Helpline. Tel: 0161 975 6088 or email minesubsidence@earthenvironmental.co.uk Coal mining and other mineral mining has shaped the country we live in today, but the legacy of this mining activity can severely impact existing buildings and infrastructure. Almost a third of buildings (29%) in the UK are built on areas of mining activity and as new land is developed, understanding exactly what lies beneath your proposed development is essential. The presence of a mine shaft can devalue a property by up to 30% depending on how close it is to a building and whether remedial action has been taken to stabilise the mineshaft. Even when there is no evidence of subsidence problems or instability caused by mineshafts and sinkholes you need to be aware of the potential hazards and address the risks. Earth Environmental & Geotechnical’s Mineshaft and Sinkhole Helpline is available to help anyone who needs further information on

Phase 1 Desk Study | Earth Environmental

A phase 1 desk study should always precede any ground investigation. Ideally, it should also be accompanied by a walk over a survey conducted by an experienced practitioner.  By compiling available information in relation to a site’s environmental, geological, hydrogeological, hydrological, and mining setting a cost-effective and focussed site investigation will be developed. BASEMENT IMPACT ASSESSMENT NORTH LONDON | Earth Environmental

Earth Environmental was commissioned to undertake a deep window sample borehole ground investigation and   basement impact assessment   at an existing property in London. The property had limited access for a proposed deep basement development (circa 6-8m) Access to the drilling locations required all drilling equipment to be transported through the occupied property which excluded many typical drilling techniques (which often require vehicle access as a minimum). GROUND INVESTIGATION BRISTOL | Earth Environmental

Earth Environmental & Geotechnical were commissioned to undertake a ground investigation in Bristol and to inform a new Environmental Permit Application at a Green Waste Composting Facility located in Yate. The proposed site was used historically as a Colliery and as agricultural land prior to the current user. To inform the Environmental Permit Application, our client required a survey to understand baseline environmental conditions for soils, groundwater, and ground gas across the assessment site.
