EARTHWORKS MODELLING

EARTHWORKS MODELLING

The company has secured a number of contracts involving the design of cost-effective remedial works prior to acquisition or as part of divestment of a number of sites to property developers. Several recent projects have also involved us assisting civil engineering and remediation contractors as part of the design and build submissions

EARTHWORKS MODELLING SERVICE

This work requires the modelling of earthworks taking into account the regrading of sites to achieve development plateaus that recognise drainage levels, subsurface structures and any contamination.

Geological information is incorporated into an earthworks model by use of Homebase which generates contoured surfaces that can be imported into AutoCAD 3D. This seamless interface of geological strata elevations is unique as it allows for sophisticated cut/fill modelling generating quantities of different soil materials.

The model allows for calculating an optimal cut/fill balance which minimises haul distances and material removed offsite.

Using the model we can estimate the quantity of surface/subsurface hard material that can be crushed to form 6F2/6F5 material that may be required for use as road/pavement areas capping, piling platforms or as structural fill.

The distribution of contamination in soil or groundwater can be represented in a three-dimensional form with the earthworks model used to assess soil inversion to eliminate pollutant linkages, removing the need to export material to landfill sites.

Site Investigation

All site investigations administer using firm and well-defined health and safety procedures. Also, a Site investigation is a process driven by strict and well-defined security practices with site-specific objective statements and risk assessments provided. It starts with desk study and a walkover. An on-site investigation is the first step in launching an on-site investigation service. Subsurface site investigations are a crucial part of the site's Geo-Environmental status report. It covers any landfill/gas issue. At earth environmental, our staff has extensive experience in the design of geotechnical, mining, and environmental site investigations. Also, we offer a complete and versatile range of Site Investigation techniques. Get more details about our services and procedures here: https://www.earthenvironmental.co.uk/site-investigation/ https://www.earthenvironmental.co.uk/conducting-site-investigations/

Ground Investigation

All  Ground investigations  follow strict and well-defined health and safety methods.  A ground investigation analyzes the fundamental conditions of the proposed site. A ground Investigation survey consists of a three-step method to acquire absolute knowledge of the soil parameters, rock, and groundwater. All Ground investigations administer using firm and well-defined health and safety procedures. The ground investigation includes any landfill/soil gas problems, soil/groundwater contamination, mining site assessment, hydrogeology, slope stability assessment, or testing geotechnical conditions of a new building or a land-form.  To know more about the Ground investigation procedure, kindly visit:  https://www.earthenvironmental.co.uk/ground-investigation-services/ https://www.earthenvironmental.co.uk/conducting-site-investigations/

Basement Impact Assessment

A Basement impact assessment (BIA) will include a phase 1 desk study to verify the site's history and explore hydro-geological conditions and surface flood risk. The basement impact assessment (BIA) takes care of the geological conditions of the area and other potential risks such as drainage, flooding, and groundwater quality. Basement changes can add valuable space to your property, but always ensure that the proposed basement development is appropriate. Earth Environmental & Geotechnical provides a complete Basement Impact Assessments report (BIA) to support your planning application.
