EARTHWORKS MODELLING

EARTHWORKS MODELLING The company has secured a number of contracts involving the design of cost-effective remedial works prior to acquisition or as part of divestment of a number of sites to property developers. Several recent projects have also involved us assisting civil engineering and remediation contractors as part of the design and build submissions EARTHWORKS MODELLING SERVICE This work requires the modelling of earthworks taking into account the regrading of sites to achieve development plateaus that recognise drainage levels, subsurface structures and any contamination. Geological information is incorporated into an earthworks model by use of Homebase which generates contoured surfaces that can be imported into AutoCAD 3D. This seamless interface of geological strata elevations is unique as it allows for sophisticated cut/fill modelling generating quantities of different soil materials. The model allows for calculating an optimal cut/fill balance which minimises haul

ECOLOGY SERVICES

Earth Environmental & Geotechnical provides a wide range of ecological services to support planning applications and development proposals, including:. meet all criteria to perform Suitably Qualified Ecologist duties for the purposes of BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes Eco credit ecology assessments. . . SUBSIDENCE SURVEYS

Since the early 1970s subsidence cover has been included within household insurance policies. Subsidence is normally defined within an insurance policy as being associated with heave, landslip and water damage (leakage from below-ground drainage or water supply services). The structure of a building may be damaged as a result of the ground and/or foundation movement. See More:- https://bit.ly/2Pe4PqO

SOIL WASTE CLASSIFICATION

Excess soil material on development sites generated during construction activities is often used on site in open space areas, as screening bunds or within recreational areas. If the materials are natural there is generally no need to chemically characterise them, unless ongoing and former site activities suggest a potential contamination source(s). In urban areas anthropogenic sources from combustion processes may result in natural materials, such as topsoil, having their chemical status impaired, demanding some testing. SURFACE WATER DRAINAGE STRATEGY

A surface water drainage strategy is a report detailing how surface water can affect a site and surrounding areas. It establishes how water can behave on a site and estimates the surface runoff rate, viable flow pathways, and likely sub-surface infiltration. . .
